Jerry Dias, head of Unifor, the union for GM workers, is meeting with reps today in Detroit to present proposals to keep the Oshawa plant open.
“I’m optimistic,” says Dias, of his meeting.
The willingness of General Motors reps to hear the proposals gives the workers at the Oshawa plant hope that the plant won’t be closed after all.
